The Practice

Decidedly different from the first consultation.

FAME Dentistry is an implant and cosmetic dental practice built for people accustomed to a certain standard, and a dedicated concierge service for the business community. Now accepting new patients on Scotland Street, Glasgow.

Every aspect of FAME has been designed to answer the shortcoming often found in conventional dentistry: care passed from one unfamiliar face to the next, the generalist claiming expert skills, the practice that treats your time as a billing unit rather than something precious.

The FAME approach is different by design. Each case is taken slowly, considered fully, and finished to a standard meant to last.

The Clinicians

The people behind every procedure.

Two senior clinicians who lead every case personally, from first consultation to final review. The dentists other dentists turn to for their own patients, their families, and themselves. Dr Ahmed is one of the few UK dentists qualified in both medicine and dentistry; Dr Bashir the only one in Scotland to have completed the full Kois Center programme. Two distinct disciplines. Two complementary strengths. Available to every patient.

One of a small number of UK dentists with both medical and dental qualifications. International speaker and mentor to implant dentists across the UK and Europe. Dr Ferhan Ahmed's dual qualification enables pre-surgical medical optimisation as a standard part of the implant cases we undertake. Something most practices simply do not offer.

A restorative dentist whose reputation has been built quietly, over two decades, largely by word of mouth among other dentists. A University of Glasgow graduate and BDA Student of the Year, he is the first and still the only dentist in Scotland to complete the full Kois Center programme in Seattle, training built on precise diagnosis and dentistry made to last.

FAME Dentistry opened on Scotland Street, Glasgow over the summer of 2026. The location is deliberate: close to the business community it serves, and easy to reach for everyone. The design is purposeful: created with the patient in mind from the first drawing, not adapted from a practice that already existed.

Dr Ferhan Ahmed is one of a small number of UK dentists qualified in both medicine and dentistry, and an international lecturer and mentor to implant dentists across the UK and Europe. That dual training is why pre-surgical medical optimisation is a standard part of every implant case here, a step very few dental practices offer.
